Humanitarian Aid Needed for Quake Victim

In Wednesday, September 2, 2009, at 14.55 Indonesia Times, strong quake by a major 7.3 richter hit West Java. At least 59 peoples were killed and morethan 39 people still missing. Humanitarian aid needed.

One among many areas that suffered by quake is Pangalengan, 60 km from Bandung, capital of west java province. According to Rahmat, member of the Alliance of Agrarian Reform Movement (AGRA), at least 80% of houses were ruined caused by quake, 5000 thousand inhabitants were forced to leave their house. Based on last report, condition in Pangalengan still under emergency situation. Member of AGRA and their local branch committee are still trying to seek aid.
